Faculty of Asia Pacific EDI is a group of committed, seasoned and experienced professional trainers, academicians, researchers, project managers and entrepreneurs having diverse background of corporate sector, industry, family businesses, management education, social entrepreneurship and social / development sector. The faculty members of Asia Pacific EDI are capable enough to deliver the quality programmes in all the thematic areas of Asia Pacific EDI. Faculty-1 Naresh
Dr. Naresh Singh

B.A. (Honours.), M.A. (Sociology), M. Phil., Ph.D., M.B.A. (Finance)

Dr. Naresh Singh has more than two decades of teaching, research, training, consulting and project management experience. His main areas of expertise are microfinance, social entrepreneurship, ngo management, public policy and business environment. He has worked with reputed management / sectoral institutions like; Institute of Health Management Research Jaipur (Research Officer), Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai (Associate Professor), Entrepreneurship Development of India Ahmedabad (Professor) and ICFAI Business School Gurgaon (Professor & Advisor Student Council). He has developed PGDM and MBA Programmes in Sanghvi and Chameli Devi Groups of Institutions in Indore (Director). He is the member of several professional and academic bodies. He has presented many research papers in national and international seminars / conferences in India and abroad. He has published more than 100 research papers, cases, case-lets, articles, book reviews in refereed national and international journals, edited books, conference proceedings and newspapers. He has implemented and consulted in several development projects in India and abroad supported by Government of India, State Governments, Small Industries Development Bank of India, National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development. Rashtriya Mahila Kosh, National Minority Development Finance Corporation. Norwegian Agency for Development, German Bank of Development, AusAid, World Bank etc. He has conducted more than 40 long duration Training and Management Development Programmes with more than 1000 participants from India and abroad representing non-government organizations, microfinance institutions and Government Departments / Ministries. His main areas of training are micro-enterprise, microfinance, micro-insurance, marketing of rural products and financial management & accounting system.

Faculty-2 Shalini
Dr. Shalini Verma

B.A. (Honours), Diploma in Training & Development, M.A. (Journalism & Communication) M.A. & Ph. D. (English Literature)

Dr. Shalini Verma has almost two decades of work experience in education and media sectors as an academician, trainer and researcher. She has expertises in business communication, soft skills and achievement motivation training for leadership. She is a well known body language expert in the country today. She is a respected name in both – the academia and the corporate circles for her training programs on Soft Skills, Communication, especially Body Language & Communication Strategy for OrganizationsShe has taught in TAPMI Manipal, S.P. Jain Centre of Management, Dubai, Indian Institute of Management, Raipur and College of Business, Ohio University, USA. Her corporate client for training includes companies such as ICWAI, ICSI, NFL (National Fertilizers Ltd.), TCL (Tata Chemicals Ltd.), TCI (Travel Corporation (India) Ltd.), NIIT, NTPC, JK Tyres, IGL (Indraprastha Gas Ltd.), Hindustan Times (PACE), Cooper Standard, Coal India, IICM (Ranchi), Aegis and IFFCO. Her main areas of interest are communication strategies of organizations, emotional intelligence; effective managerial communication, cross-cultural communications, employability enhancement, soft skills, inter personal relationship management, image management and personal branding. She has published more than 30 research papers in refereed national and international journals. Besides, Dr. Verma has authored around 50 books on several genres – 16 Management & Self Help; 26 ELT (English Language Training); and 08 Competition books. Some of her bestselling titles include: Body Language: Your Success Mantra; Soft Skills for the BPO Sector; Enhancing Employability @ Soft Skills; Kit for CAT; Word Power Made Handy; English Grammar Made Easy. All these books have been received overwhelming response both from Academia and Industry. She keeps creating awareness on the subject through talk shows on various TV channels, panel discussions, guest lectures, workshops and seminars.

Faculty-3 Gajpal Singh
Dr. Gajpal Singh

M.B.A., Ph.D. (Management), L.L.B.

Dr. Gajpal Singh served Indian Air Force for 16 years and then moved to academics and corporate sector. He was the Director in S.D. College of Management, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh where he was teaching and managing MBA Programme. At present he is Managing Director of G.T. Cargo Fittings, NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh (a 100% Export Unit). His experience includes formation of EOU, B-17 bonding, import on procurement certificates, duty free purchase against CT-3, re-warehousing of goods, export and sales in domestic tariff area, day to day working with Excise Office, maintenance of Bond Register / EOU stock data as per the requirement of Excise Department and dealing with Import/Export. His is also handling responsibility to recruit, interview, select, place, induct and train manpower at present unit. He is also dealing with training & development and appraisal reports of manpower. He provides classroom training to company executives to handle administrative and liaisoning responsibilities. He liaisons with Government Departments and with matters related to 100% Export Oriented Units.

Faculty-4 Meenakshi
Dr. Meenakshi Kaushik

M.B.A. (HRM), Ph.D. (Management)

Dr. Meenakshi Kaushik has more than 10 years of experience in teaching, training, research and corporate in the area of human resource management, organizational development and leadership development. Her Ph.D. thesis titled ” A Study of Leadership Effectiveness in Women Executives in Context of Delhi Based Business organizations” has brought relevant theoretical and empirical imperatives on leadership development. She has been associated with Institute of Management Technology, Amity University, Delhi Business School and ICFAI Business School and teaching courses related to Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Organizational Development and Leadership Development. She is a guest faculty and trainer in Indian Society for Training and Development, New Delhi for the past six years and has been taking sessions on various aspects of human resource management. She has mentored and guided many students pursuing Ph.D. as well MBA / PGDM students for summer internship and research projects. She has attended faculty development programme, several summits / conferences / seminars of human resource management and development at national and International levels and presented papers. She received best paper presentation award on “Position of Women in Rural Infrastructure.” in Rajasthan University. She has published research papers in national and international refereed journals. She is the members of All India Management Association and National HRD Network. In corporate she was associated with Ritu Nanda Group, Jain TV, CIPLA and Ericsson as Human Resource Trainer and has trained middle and senior level professionals on the topics related manpower planning leadership, motivation, stress management, emotional quotient. She has conducted many workshops for senior and middle level professionals of corporate and industry sectors on the issues related to human resource management and development on different locations in India and for different companies. She also participated in state level singing competition and received first prize from Governor of Rajasthan.

Dr. Kalam Singh

M.A. (Sociology), Ph.D.

Dr. Kalam Singh has more than three decades of long experience as an academician and social worker. He was Professor in D.A.V.P.G., College, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. He did his Ph.D. and research work in rural areas of Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh on intergenerational occupational mobility among the families of rural communities. ” has brought relevant theoretical, empirical and policy imperatives on social mobility among the weaker sections of society. He has presented many research papers in national and international seminars / conferences and has published many research papers, articles and book reviews in refereed national and international journals, edited books, conference proceedings and newspapers. He is the life member of Indian Sociological Society. He has spend his life time simultaneously in social work and giving back to the rural communities and improving the quality of life of people through his professional skills and attitude.

Ms. Buriata Eti Tofinga

Graduation (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand), Post Graduation (University of Sydney, Australia), Ph.D. pursuing on Social Entrepreneurship (School of Management & Public Administration, Faculty of Business & Economics University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus, Suva, Fiji)

Ms. Buriata Eti Tofinga has worked extensively in the areas of development sector and social entrepreneurship in Asia-Pacific region and has strategically promoted and managed development of innovations, products and services into the market related to social enterprises. This includes three years of working and accumulating experience and expertise in promoting and providing specific advices on the permit issuance and establishment of foreign investment projects including joint ventures that bring social and economic benefits to people and communities in Kiribati. Her research interests are in pacific entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, organizational development, social marketing, social investment, social innovation, corporate social responsibility and value creation. She is a World Bank Certified Microfinance Trainer and specifically interested in the development, management and sustainability issues of microfinance institutions (MFIs). She also worked as Project Manager in the Native to Native Project in Suva, Fiji which is grassroots-oriented indigenous business mentoring programme developed on trial in association with US-based international cultural marketing firm, Bronitsky & Associates, to bring together native entrepreneurs, local business coaches, facilitators and community leaders to work together, learn together and mentor together. She also worked in Fair Business, Australia where she prepared and submit applications to funding/grants from the Philanthropy market in Australia to support social enterprises created by Fair Business Australia. Her research experience in Remote and Rural Enterprise Programme of Sydney, Australia helped in identifying consumption patterns and behaviour towards organic compost products in the Great Lakes Region. She was the Project Administrator in UNDP-funded Environmental Project in Suva, Fiji. As an Industry Promotion Officer in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Cooperatives, Republic of Kiribati, she provided advisory support and capacity building to local manufacturing and processing industries/projects in Kiribati. These projects/industries include Virgin Coconut Oi l(VCO) processing, Biofuel processing, Food processing, Copra milling, local produce & handicrafts, Waste management recycling, Biscuit factory, nail-making factory, Upholstery, Garment factory, Seaweed processing and other marine products processing. She has received number of honours and awards for her work in development and social sector which include New Zealand Development Scholarship Award (2003), Australia Leadership Award Scholarship of AusAID (2011), Prime Minister’s Pacific-Australia Award Recipient (2011), Regional PhD Scholarship Award (2013).

Faculty-7 Jitendra
Mr. Jitendra Rajaram Verma

M.B.A., Ph.D. (pursuing)

Mr. Jitendra Rajaram Verma has worked with Indian Express, DNA Bangalore and Essar’s Media Subsidiary Paprika Media. He is a non-fiction writer, motivational speaker, trainer, and researcher. He also writes articles in current socio-economic and development issues. His is working on a mission is developing a quality education system which can be affordable, manageable and mandatory for every class and societies of this world. He has published more than 20 research papers in field of socio-business concern in various national and international journals. He is the author of heart touching love story of young rebellions called ‘My Wise Countrymen’ with an objective to suggest feasible solution of the ever crime against peace lovers. His inkdom is committed to produce yet another thought provoking social story of modern Indian family dealing with the burning challenge of ‘thinking global and acting local’. He provides training in various fields like; business ethics, motivation, goal setting, working efficiency, time management and employability skills.

Faculty-8 Krishna Mohan
Mr. Krishna Mohan

M.B.A. (HRM), M.S. (Public Relations and Mass Communications), Ph. D. (pursuing)

Mr. Krishna Mohan has worked with Institute of Chartered Accountants and Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), Turbo Machinery Group of Institutions and Federation of Universities. He has supervised over 100 MBA Projects, related to various management departments. He has presented and published research contributions in various national and international conferences. He has been awarded Best Teacher Award in 2010 by Turbo Group of Institutions. Known for his exceptional verbal and written communication skills, he has conducted various counseling sessions and seminars at national level. His fields of interest are conflict management and resolution strategies. He is a lifetime member of ISHA VIDHYA (NGO) & Blue-Cross Society.

Faculty-9 Unmesh Gogwekar
Mr. Unmesh Gogwekar

Maters in Management Studies (MMS)

Mr. Unmesh Gogwekar did his MMS from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai and has over 18 years of Corporate Experience. He has worked with HSBC more than a decade and was instrumental in expanding the outreach and area of operations of HSBC in India. His last assignment as Vice President was to build the Mortgage portofolio of the Bank through its Branch network across the Country. His vast experience encompasses i) Customer Relationship Management ii) Distribution and Channel Management iii) Audit, Regulatory Compliance and Process Management iv) Retail and Commercial Banking. Post quitting HSBC in 2010, Mr. Gogwekar has set-up his own entrepreneurial ventures which include Food Industry, Lifestyle Management, and Management Consultancy.

Faculty-10 Devender Singh Negi
Mr. Devender Singh Negi

M. A., CAIIB (Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers)

Mr. Devender Singh Negi has three decades of experience working as a banker and administrator at senior level positions. He worked as officer with Government of India, State Bank of India (SBI) and Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) and handled matters of national security, personal banking refinancing / financing of industrial projects, implementing backward area development programmes etc. in different parts of India for about 15 years. He was Officer on Special Duty at Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation Ltd. deputed by IDBI for revival of the development Corporation, which was successfully turned around within 15 months (1988-89). He worked as Assistant General Manager, In-Charge of Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) and SIDBI at Shillong, Member Board of Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation, Deputy General Manager & Founder In-Charge of SIDBI Office for South Gujarat at Baroda, Deputy. General Manager, Corporate Training & Recruitment at Head Office Lucknow and Head of Corporate Human Resource Management, Administration & Audit at Head Office Lucknow. He also served as General Manager, In-Charge, SIDBI, New Delhi Office and Member Boards of Directors of State Financial Corporations of Delhi and Haryana., Member Committees on Business Planning, Credit Approvals of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He also worked as Registrar of ICFAI School of Business School, Gurgaon. He has participated in Seminar on Global Banking Opportunities and Risks in Johannesburg and Cape Town (SA), ‘Trainers Training in Development’ in Washington DC (USA) and Study of Disaster Relief Schemes of Development Bank of Mauritius at Port Luis.

Mr. Mustafa Nadeem

M.B.A. (Finance)

Mr. Mustafa Nadeem is an M.B.A. from ICFAI Business School, Mumbai and has five years of work experience with Reliance Consumer Finance as Branch Credit Manager in Indore, Faculty at Chameli Devi Institute of Management & Research Indore. He has keen interest in stock market. As a young entrepreneur he has established a company named Epic Research Pvt. Ltd. which is a leading financial services provider with presence in Indian and other global capital markets. With its full fledged research operations, Epic Research under the leadership of Mr. Mustafa Nadeem has proven itself as company that produces and delivers high accuracy tips and recommendations for Equities (stocks listed on BSE, NSE), Derivatives (BSE, NSE, Nifty Futures and Options), Commodity (MCX, NCDEX, COMEX) and Forex (Domestic and International Currencies).

Mr. Gaurav Khandelwal completed his PGDBM from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai and has more than seven years of experiences in Commercial Banking, Business Development & Expansion, Developing Agent/ Broker Network and CRM for Financial Solutions. He worked with HDFC General Insurance and Yes Bank in Indore. He established Tathastu Academy Pvt. Ltd. in Indore for skill development training and trained large number of unemployed youth to make them employable. He is a social entrepreneur with a vision to create a cadre of skilled youths and make them employable as per industry requirement and then place them.

Mr. Tonmoy Chatterjee

PGDMN (Post Graduate Diploma in Management of NGO), M.B.A. (Marketing)

Mr. Tonmoy Chatterjeet has two decades of experience in microfinance, micro-enterprise development and training to first generation entrepreneurs. He has conducted many Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and trained rural youths, urban youths and created first generation entrepreneurs. He designed and implemented successfully many unique and innovative need-based projects for the women, children and farming communities of rural India. He trained rural women in various aspects of SHGs, livelihood, enterprise development, microfinance, motivation, leadership, accounts keeping, bank relation, rights and awareness generation issues related to women and children. He also trained farmers on various land based livelihood activities, organic agriculture, Intensified Integrated Farming System (IIFS), Farmers Field School (FFS), animal husbandry and allied agriculture, diversified agriculture system, water conservation, soil conservation, land treatment and Natural Resource Management (NRM). In addition to that he also trained middle and field level staff of more than 70 NGOs on various project related activities, especially on PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal), PLA (Participatory Learning Assessment) and CMP (Community Monitoring Process).

Faculty-16 Ratul Berman
Mr. Ratul Barman

M.A. (Philosophy), M.S.W.

Mr. Ratul has more than 15 years of experience in development sector with excellent technical, presentation and people skill combined with considerable result oriented and has proven track record in complex as well as critical situation. He is an experienced professional in conducting skill based entrepreneurship development training with proper designing, motivation of youth and women group, participatory appraisal for community need based program. He has been able to fit himself with microfinance sector as key professional in rural and disadvantage sector. He has played key role as facilitator to build capacity of more than 100 NGOs in different States across India. He posses multi-dimensional development skills related to project designing, strategic planning, policy making, finance management, fund raising, women empowerment, entrepreneurship development, resource based cluster development, natural resource management and community mobilization. To sharpen his skills in development sector, he has attended trainers’ training programmes in Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India Ahmedabad, V.V. Giri National Labour Institute NOIDA, National Institute of Rural Development Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Bank Management Guwahati and National Institute of Public Cooperation & Child Development Guwahati.

Mr. Abhishek Chibber

B. Com. (Honours), M.B.A.

Mr. Abhishek Chhibber is director at Indalytics Advisors — an advisory and research company providing supply-side services to the education space. Abhishek has transformed Indalytics from a bootstrapped startup, to a stable company with growing revenues.. Abhishek has been responsible for Indalytics’ more than 300% revenue growth, and a robust SEO and online presence, leading to high inbound marketing conversion. Abhishek is a member of Washington DC, US–based Gilfus Education Group. The group is a global expert network of elite and distinguished educational technology innovators, consultants, and seasoned practitioners. Abhishek is also an active member in New Delhi’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. He is Program Leader (New Delhi) for Startup Leadership Program — a Boston, US–based training program for outstanding founders and innovators. Startup Leadership Program, which is run across 11 countries, has a network of 700 companies that have raised approximately US$370 million. Abhishek’s background is firmly grounded in research, analytics, and thought leadership, as he previously served as Senior Business Analyst at Evalueserve — a Gurgaon, India–based research and analytics company. Abhishek earned an MBA from the ICFAI Business School, and is an honors graduate in commerce from University of Delhi.

Mr. Abhijeet Singh Chauhan

M.B.A. (Marketing & IT)

Mr. Abhijeet Singh Chauhan has more than five years of professional experience in business development in Indian and International market. He has worked with J.K. Tyre, SmartSims Business Simulations, SUVI Information Systems AND NIIT Ltd. As an entrepreneur, he is the promoter of Bhagwati Cools Pvt. Ltd. for Mahindra & Mahindra tractors and spares distributorship for 2 regions i.e. Gwalior Chambal Region (4 districts) and UP-West (10 districts). His experience includes three years in software products & solutions sales, analyzing prospective client’s business and technology requirements and issues, and provide a software product or solution accordingly. Demonstrated ability to listen to prospects’ needs, develop solutions to meet clients’ goals / budgets and build trust and respect. He has expertise in identifying and developing profitable business opportunities by introducing new methodologies and proposing new solutions. As a business analyst he initiates requirement gathering phase to clearly spell out the specs.

Faculty-17 Gorakh
Mr. Gorakh Dwivedi

M.B.A. (Finance & HR)

Mr. Gorakh Dwivedi has three years of professional experience in NGO Sector. He was Charter President of Unique Pioneer Management Campus Club at Indore which was organized by Lions Club International. He was also an active member in Campus Entrepreneurship Development Cell and coordinated business venture activities for students. He was Marketing Head for own business of chemical free food and seeds, that covers whole Madhya Pradesh State. He has demonstrated ability to listen to prospects’ needs, creating customers especially in rural areas and making good relations with them by building trust and respect. His expertise is in identifying and developing profitable business opportunities by introducing new methodologies and proposing innovative solutions.
